Free Entitlement For Three and Four Year Olds
Barn Lodge childcare is approved as an Eligible Childminder which allows us to deliver free funded places for 3 and 4 year olds.
We offer a maximum amount of 15 hours per week of free government childcare entitlement. This is delivered over 38 weeks of the year. It can only be delivered during term time weeks.
The government is increasing this entitlement in September to 30 hours per week. Unfortunately as a provider we will be unable to accommodate this increase and will continue to offer 15 hours.
you can however use your other 15 hours at another setting/provider.
To claim the free entitlement your child must have started with us on or before the start of the new academic term. (spring term, summer term and autumn term - not half terms)
Funding can start the term after their 3rd birthday.
We also offer the Free for two year old funding.
The scheme is currently available to 2-year-olds:
- who are looked after by the local authority
- who are no longer looked after by the local authority as a result of an adoption order, a special guardianship order or a residence order
- who have a current statement of special educational needs (SEN) or an education, health and care plan
- whose parents receive specific benefits.
If your child is eligible, the free hours start in the term after their second birthday:
